Needs to be somebody who listens and examines instead of ordering tests on autopilot, somebody who collaborates with the patient rather than issuing edicts from on high.

Art scene improving

This is a posting of my writeup for Bay Area Art Quake http://baartquake.blogspot.com/

Tonight was the long-awaited opening of an artist's cooperative gallery in downtown Ukiah. It got a lot of local press....and when I showed up right after work at 5 pm, in the pouring rain, there was absolutely no room for another person to enter the (attractive, well-lit and well-hung) space! Stu and I went home, hung out for an hour, and went back...this time we made it in the door but it was too crowded and noisy to look at art or to talk to anybody! So we went across to the Brewpub for dinner and it was 5 minutes past the opening's closing time when we walked back down the street, and it was still too crowded!

Now, I'm not sure exactly what to call this place; the signs all say Art Center Ukiah, but now it seems to have morphed, between paint job/signage and actually opening, into something called The Corner Gallery...anyhow, here is the skinny on art stuff, with a review of the show to follow next week sometime:

Beginning in April, Ukiah will be doing First Fridays, with these galleries open from 5 pm to 8 pm. Most of them are mostly crafts (ceramics) but hopefully will have other media represented, and the Grace Hudson Museum will also be participating. The full list is:

CORNER GALLERY
CINNABAR CERAMICS
GRACE HUDSON MUSEUM
HOYMAN-BROWE STUDIO
ONE EARTH GALLERY
T.B. GREENE GALLERY

Given the difficulties I've noted with past galleries not really staying open more than two years (the one at the community college doesn't count, as it is not a commercial enterprise), I'm very curious to see how this scene develops....

Its all yours..my gift to all of my fellow Tribers who got me off to a webstart!!
I have posted my blog but will post the url one more time
www.sacredgoddessonline.com
go to the auction link under other realms or you can also go the bellydance page and link from there. I will still have the swap page going..so dont worry..it is still up..
www.bellydancerswap.com

totally thrilled, and with your help we can network and keep this free auction site going!!

Costco was all set to build on a City of Ukiah site....until...

Some people support our land-use concerns but they want a Costco store and believe that Developers Diversified Realty's (DDR) proposed mall at Masonite will bring one. These folks need to know that Costco was in the process of siting a store inside the City of Ukiah until the escrow was suddenly broken and Costco started talking to DDR instead.

These facts are known because the City of Ukiah itself was part of the escrow, because the Costco site involved both a Redwood Business Park parcel and an adjacent parcel that had City involvement. This would be an appropriate site for a Costco, in an existing shopping district, that would minimize impacts.

The facts around this incident have been confirmed both by city officials and Redwood Business Park management. The Costco escrow had gone on for over a year as the parties negotiated over details of the siting. There was even hope it would open for Christmas 2007. Then Costco pulled out and the name "Costco" appears on one of the proposed site plans for DDR's mega-mall at the Masonite factory site.

This incident is a perfect example of how the Masonite mall would compete with our existing retail centers. The 700,000 square feet and 3900 space parking lot originally proposed by DDR would cannibalize our existing retail, leading to more empty store fronts throughout the city.

It also shows that keeping the Masonite property zoned industrial is not about stopping more retail. It's about keeping industrial land for good paying jobs for the long term. We will get that Costco store back, where it belongs and we will have a place for good paying jobs so people can shop there!

We've found that the Costco story is very interesting to folks who are following development issues. Many find it shocking. Please help spread knowledge of these facts throughout the community. For more information http://www.ukiahsmartgrowth.org/

I am a 40 year old responsible women w/ excellent references, both personal and from previous landlord. I have lived in the same place in Ukiah for 3 years and now the owners of the property are moving in. I have been paying reduced rent in exchange for gardening/landscaping and home care (I am a professional of both - see kirstenmichel.com)

I am a non smoker, no drugs or alcohol, no parties, quiet, clean, respectful, etc

I have two service/companion animals - a 6 year old male Golden Retriever and a 9 year old female outdoor/indoor black cat. Both are very well behaved and cared for and come with EXCELLENT references as well.

I also have the option of using a housing voucher (Section 8). This is a GUARANTEED form of payment for rent. I can afford up to $800 for a place and can also pay pet deposit (though I have always had pets and have never needed to pay for any damages related to the pet or myself)

Or I can pay up to $500 for 1 bedroom (not Sec 8)

Or $1000 for 1+ or 2 bedroom for me and my mom and dog/cat.

I need to find a new place by Dec 31st and appreciate any leads. Thank you.

Hello! We are in need of manifesting a nice place to be. We are a
family with an almost 3 year old little girl. Our rental is needed by
the landlord and we were only on a month to month lease so it's time
to move.
I am putting in out there to the community. We are manifesting a
healthy place to call home.

Please if anyone knows of a piece a land we can lease or rent. We have
a teepee and are into natural living and growing FOOD.

We are locally employed, have savings and great ref's.
We are low impact people and don't need many comforts...we don't
require power, basically a healthy environment to make nicer and that
has water for hygiene, dishes, and food.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. We are honest hard
working folks. We are open to hear all situations.
drop us a line or call at 707 354 3707

Hey Ukians, I am moving this Monday and I need someone strong with truck to help me move to another location in Ukiah. Probubly wouldn't take any more than one or two trips, and probubly not more than two hours, probubly less. The only sort of big thing i have is a full size bed, a small bookcase, and a desk. The rest would be a bunch of boxes. I'm thinking anywhere between 30-50 bucks, but we can talk about what would be a fair price. If you're interested, you will need to get back to me ASAP- by Thursday or Friday.

I need a trailer park in the Ukiah area starting sometime late next week, I need a place for my Airstream for the winter, maybe longer. I am decompressing after the burn.

Am/need calm/cool/hassle-free. Have Airstream, need standard hook-ups, would like additional hookups.

Have been told about Manor Oaks Overnighter. Is that a good place?

I sure hope you have a good coffee shop!

I have read every post on this forum. Tonight.
I see this town as what I make of it.
I am long overdue for getting back to the triangle with a legal income...

Nature. Nature. Nature.

Looks like I will be coming up here about 10-12 months from now.
My business will need 3-4 employees in clerical roles, so, my question to youKians, you Ukiahites...you locals...
Am I going to be able to find good local talent?
A few people I brought this up to in the last few days were pessimistic. I want to disagree with them.
I am a "cool" boss by most standards.
You have to 1) Be there 2) Care.

Tired now, otherwise I would say more.
Here's to your happy and healthy future, B.

FYI. I just discovered the Ukiah Fair Elections Committee page ( http://www.ukiahfairvote.org/ ). In addition to providing some good
reasons to support the Ukiah City Council candidates who have accepted campaign spending limits, it provides some very interesting information about the candidates who did not accept spending limits and their Santa Rosa political consultant.

If you vote in Ukiah or are at all interested in the future development of the Ukiah Valley, you may want to check it out. Please also forward the link to any friends who may be interested in Ukiah politics.

Hi everyone! As some of you know, I have been organizing a Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Mikayla Preader who goes to the Child Development Center at Mendocino College. Her mother was a student at Mendocino College and passed away this past summer. Mikayla still goes to the center, and the Parents Club is hosting a benefit for her.

The Dinner will take place at the Eagle's Nest on the Mendocino College campus on Friday, October 13. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Advance tickets are available at Mendocino Book Company and The Mendocino College Bookstore. You may pay at the event as well.

Please come and have some good (and affordable) dinner while supporting Mikayla as well. Please forward this e-mail to everyone on your e-mail list too. The more the merrier!

You can see more details at:
http://www.mendocino.edu/tc/pg/4542/spaghetti_feed_benefit_fundraiser.html

Norman Vroman -- unconventional D.A.
- Peter Fimrite, Chronicle Staff Writer
Friday, September 22, 2006

Norman Vroman, the outspoken district attorney of Mendocino County who fought to decriminalize marijuana and once served nine months in a federal prison for refusing to file federal income taxes, died Thursday of cardiac arrest.

Mr. Vroman, whose unconventional personality and positions made him a controversial figure much of his career, was taken to Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa after his heart stopped Tuesday, but he never regained consciousness. He was 69.

He was, in many ways, the perfect top prosecutor for the rugged, mountainous region known as the Emerald Triangle, where marijuana is said to sprout like mushrooms from the forest floor.

He was a tough but compassionate outdoorsman and a staunch defender of the Constitution who left a promising legal career in Southern California for a land where overalls are standard garb.

Born in Los Angeles in 1936, he was given up for adoption three weeks after his birth. He grew up in San Dimas, in San Bernardino County. An industrious youth from the beginning, he drove an ambulance when he was still a teenager and was hired by the Pomona Police Department when he was only 18.

He earned a law degree from the University of Colorado in 1961 and began working for the Los Angeles County district attorney. He was appointed to a judgeship in San Bernardino County by Ronald Reagan in 1971, when he was only 35, said his daughter, Kathryn Vroman Benner.

Mr. Vroman also worked as a private practice criminal defense lawyer in Southern California before deciding he had had enough of the rat race. In 1975, he moved to Willits, where he worked as a cattle rancher, then in real estate.

In 1980, he decided to begin practicing law again, but was determined never to wear a suit.

"He didn't like wearing suits because it represented to him the rat race he had gotten away from," said his daughter. "I remember him actually going to court in overalls."

Mr. Vroman worked in private practice in Ukiah, as a public defender, judge pro tem and as a prosecutor for the Mendocino County district attorney.

In 1991 he served nine months in a federal prison after being convicted of a misdemeanor for failing to file federal income taxes.

"He felt there is nothing in the Constitution that requires you to pay taxes or to file," said his daughter.

Mr. Vroman expressed disgust later that he had to spend more time in prison than some rapists.

In 1997, he found his birth mother in Ohio and was overjoyed to find out he was part Irish. He often told the story about how, on a subsequent visit to Ireland, he wore Irish tweeds and faked an Irish brogue prompting an American tourist to request a picture of him as an example of an authentic Irishman.

He was elected district attorney in 1998, defeating 12-year incumbent Susan Massini, and took office in 1999.

He told The Chronicle at the time that he favored decriminalizing marijuana "because the war on drugs isn't working. If it is a war, we lost it a long time ago."

" He started the nation's first medical marijuana licensing program and stopped police from seizing legal pot gardens and hassling legitimate growers who registered under California law. He eventually started wearing ties again and, in the end, suits, but was forever known in legal circles as "that Mendocino Man" who protected pot growers.

Besides his daughter Kathryn of Santa Paula, Ventura County, he is survived by his wife, Raleigh Page-Russell of Hopland, daughter Melissa Vroman of Glendale in Los Angeles County, son Brandt Vroman of West Linn, Ore., a half sister, Denise Cook, of Lima, Ohio, and six grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

well i'm really not attached to any particular plan at the moment....but i thought it might be interesting to explore housing options in the mendo county area, preferably not right in ukiah, something rustic and off the grid would be best, you know, dirt to kick around and trees to climb and maybe even water to jump in but definitely to drink. greenfield, PV, RV, hopland area, mcnab, stonesthrow, etc., i have a good reliable income and no bad habits. see our profile for more on us.

we'll be in oregon during august but will be back end of august so he can start school. if something is available during august we could swing it, but this is our time to be on the road and explore new people and places before hunkering down for the winter. yes i have experience off grid and live very well as a 'rustic.' preferred. will consider work trade, varied skills.

Hey friends,

Anyone interested in a fresh, new approach to reformatting our relationships with drug and alcohol use/abuse/dependancy? Like, for starters, "admitting" we are acting in choice and with Will when we quit/slow down/take a break, not admitting we are powerless. Looking at the causes for use/abuse/dependancy, not looking at the use/abuse/dependancy as the cause. Taking use/abuse/dependancy as a part of the picture, not as the foundation of it. Open-mindedness about the genesis of use/abuse/dependancy; Is it a disease? A survival tactic? A coping mechanism? A combination of the above? Some thing else entirely?

(Some links of interest on this point of question: http://www.baldwinresearch.com/alcoholism.cfm, http://www.baldwinresearch.com/methodology2.cfm, http://www.indiana.edu/~engs/articles/drughysteria.html, http://www.steveshealyphd.com/addictionart.htm.)

I want to get together with others who are in the same, or similar, space as I am right now. (Newly) sober, open-minded about addiction and self-medication and the interface between the two, nonjudgmental, and willing to put an evening a week aside to get together for "meetings." I'd like to offer the opportunity for us to take a rational, choice-based approach to our sobriety.

Some questions I'd like to pose: What have our vices done for us? Why are we drawn to them even when we know they are having a negative impact? How can we deal with the root causes of use/abuse/dependancy? Is there such a thing as "responsible use?" Why are we choosing to be sober? What are the coping mechanisms we are using to get/be/stay sober? What are our concerns regarding being sober? What are our concerns regarding failing to stay sober? How do we keep ourselves happy in this transition and reformatting?

So, anyone game to give it a shot? Let me know.

-LaSara

Quote of interest:

"In contrast, programs that teach control and choice are far more successful than programs that teach the disease concept. While conventional treatment methods result in a 3 percent success rate after five years, programs that do not teach the disease concept, and instead teach choice, have success rates of 86 percent after five and even 10 years (Baldwin Research Institute 2003)."

NURSE-IN

Just wanted to pass on this email that I received, I deleted the woman's number and name but there will be a nurse-in at the Willits High School Pool on Friday 7/7 at 2:00pm. Don't know if I can make it but it would be great to show her some support (lactating or not)

XOXO,
Jeanette

Hello,
>
> I was wanting to share to you a situation I ran into
> at the Willits High
> School pool. My son Owen, who is 4 years old ,and
> daughter who is 7
> months old and I went to the pool to swim on the
> 26th of this Month. I
> was there for about 45 minutes watching my son swim.
> I was sitting on the
> side of the pool with my daughter in my hands and
> she decided she wanted
> to nurse. Within 5 minutes into me nursing her I was
> approached by a life
> guard and asked if I was nursing my child. I said
> yes and at that time I
> was told that I could not nurse my child in the pool
> area. I asked the
> life guard where I could nurse my child she told me
> In the bathrooms or
> my car. I was shocked. I told her that was against
> the law, and that I
> could nurse where ever. She then told me that she
> couldn't allow me to
> nurse my child because she had to ask another mother
> to stop because she
> was in a bikini and when she would nurse she was
> exposing her breast. The
> life guard said she had a complaint by a 13 year old
> boys mother that her
> son couldn't keep his eyes off of the mother and
> that she was over
> exposing her child.
> I at that time asked for a refund but was told I
> couldn't get one. Then I
> left. I called the Wic office and received some
> numbers to a few breast
> feeding consultants. I did some research and found
> that my civil rights
> had been violated. The code 43.3 which states I can
> breast feed my child
> anywhere in public. i had my picture taken and an
> article will be in the
> picture. I was also wanting to get together nursing
> mothers and any other
> people who would go to the pool next week and show
> support and nurse
> there children. If you can help that would be great.

Do you folks know about this great website?
http://www.pawstoadopt.com/aboutus.html

She posts adoptable animals that are at the Ukiah shelter.

I think it is wonderful. Even though I don't live in Ukiah, I may now make the effort to make a brief visit to the shelter when I pass through. (I just came home from Covelo last night. )

If you live in Ukiah, and know who Mariah is, please give her a big hug from me, in thanks for what she is doing for the animals.

Anyway... I hope everyone will check out her website, and maybe even adopt a lucky dog or cat because of it.

documentary film screening

i can't make it, but you should!

Documentary Film Screening

David vs. Goliath, the hare and the tortoise—even Beauty and the Beast are

woven into the digital fabric of journalists Heather Hughes and Hanson Hosein

as they trek across America in search of truly free (and local) enterprise.

- Review by Film Critic S. James Wegg

Where have all the Mom & Pops gone? Journalists Hanson Hosein and Heather Hughes go out of their way to find out. Independent America, follows their 13,000 mile road trip (including a stop in Ukiah) searching for the remains of and tracing the fight to preserve independent business in America. From the start of the trip, they attempt to follow two rules—avoid interstates highways wherever possible and patronize only “Mom & Pop” businesses along the way. After gathering film-making equipment and their Black Labrador Miles, they plot a course through a number of “pressure points” where opposition to corporate franchises and “big box” retailers such as Wal-Mart, Borders and Starbucks has surfaced across the country.

On their journey Hanson and Heather speak with a wide range of citizens, including local activists, civic leaders, labor representatives and corporate spokespersons—all of whom are actively engaged in supporting either independent or corporate America. They also explore how large corporate businesses effect local economies and highlight potential alternative to corporate America. For example, they travel to Powell, WY, a town so small and isolated that corporate America forgot it, but that found its own measure of prosperity by selling shares and operating its own department store. It’s a huge success, built on “self reliance, and a sense of community.”

The North Bay premier screening of Independent America (81 min.), will be held on April 17, 2006, starting at 6:30 pm, at the Ukiah Players Theatre, 1041 Low Gap Road.

This event is sponsored by and benefits Keep Ukiah Special and the Greater Ukiah Localization Project. A $5-$10 donation is requested (but not required). For those interested, an open community discussion about the film and related activities in the area will follow the film.

Fate of Ukiah Valley to be Decided, URGENCY ORDINANCE MEETING, March 14

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fate of Ukiah Valley to be Decided
Board of Supervisors Considers "Urgency Ordinance"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

URGENT!

On Tuesday, March 14 at 1:30 the Board of Supervisors will be discussing and acting on an Urgency Ordinance, designed to temporarily limit development that is not currently planned for in our Valley. This ordinance allows comprehensive regional planning to go forward unimpeded. The passage of a strong Ordinance and the accompanying Board resolution will assure a planning process that protects our quality of life in the Valley. If the Ordinance fails, we will be fighting unplanned developments project-by-project in numerous costly, time-consuming, and divisive processes. The time to act is now.

It is critical that the Urgency Ordinance does not have numerous and large loopholes that will render it ineffective. This Urgency Ordinance is the key to a comprehensive, community-based, regional planning process.

This will likely be a knockdown, drag-out meeting, with multiple developers opposing any restrictions on new large-scale developments. Attending the meeting will be groups with special interests who want to build out the Valley, who don't want government to get in their way, and who have specific projects they want to build now.

We must act quickly. We must encourage the Board to enact a strong Urgency Ordinance.

Things you can do now:

* Plan to attend the March 14 BOS meeting.
* Share this alert with other concerned citizens.
* Call all the Supervisors--see link below.
* Write letters to the Editor.
* Urge City Council members to participate in this meeting.
* Look for E-mail alerts from the Coalition.

We will send more detailed information about County adminstration's proposal and how it may differ from the UVSGC proposal.

The critical Board vote on this Urgency Ordinance requires a 4/5 majority to pass. The Ukiah Valley Smart Growth Coalition urges you to attend this meeting.

This is VERY important...

Together we CAN save the Arctic National Wildlife refuge!
Congress is closer than ever to turning the pristine, unspoiled Arctic National Wildlife Refuge into an industrial oil field, but there is still time to save the Refuge! That's why a coalition of conservation, labor, religious and other citizen groups representing millions of Americans who believe the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge should remain wild, unspoiled and free of oil rigs have joined together to create Arctic Refuge Action.

Please sign a petition and get active to stop the "mad fake cowboy"!!!!!

I was birding at the Ukiah Wastewater Treatment Plant this morning aka the sewage ponds--and there they were: the first known BlackNecked Stilts to breed in Mendocino County! Mom, dad, and two babes, fairly big bodied but considerably shorter legged than their very protective parents.

h.u.b.e. at Dig! This Saturday 6/25

Howdy everyone,

This Saturday, June 25th, hands upon black earth will be performing an early bird special show at Dig! Music in Ukiah. This performance will be from 10:00 AM till noon, and will be performed by Bobby Cochran alone. This show will feature much new music from the upcoming second h.u.b.e. album, as well as remixes of first album favorites.

Dig! has been hosting "Acoustic Saturdays" for the last year and a half, and h.u.b.e. is their first non-acoustic performance. This is going to be a very informal gig, and we're looking at it as a "sneak peek" performance for those of you who want to preview tracks from h.u.b.e.'s second full-length album, to be released in late summer or early fall of 2005.

So come on down to Dig! Music, 362 North State St. in Ukiah, one block north of the Courthouse on the same side of the street. 10 AM till noon. Admission is free! (707) 463-8444

Hope to see you all this Saturday mornin at 10 AM!

cheers,
Ukiah Gig Guide - Whats happening?

Hi, I'm new here and I was looking for a guide to whats happening in Ukiah. I found a Ukiah Brewing Co guide a few days ago, but I cant find it anymore (it listed whats happening at the brewery).

Is there another place which lists Arts and Crafts/Fairs/Entertainment events? Theres not too much to do in this town (as far as I've seen), and it would be cool to have one place which lists everything.

Thanks!

One is on Thursday December 9th at the Caspar Inn, and the other is on Friday December 10th at the Ukiah Brewing Co.

Those of you who've seen Alcyone at either SolFest or Earthdance will agree with me when I say that they're an awesome group, able to make the booties shake! Be sure to spread the word and come out to these shows!

Also, hands upon black earth are the Featured Local Artist in the upcoming issue of the Bullhorn Rag. Thanks to Laura and Sid for the opportunity to spread the h.u.b.e word in Mendocino County!

I just got back from the great northwest, and there is this crazy women's roller derby thing going on in Seattle. It's all the rage. And this team called the Rat City Roller Girls (my friend Cherry is a team member) has an open skate night every wednesday. So, I went, and it was a freakign blast. A bunch of hottie punk rock girls on skates, looking tough.

So, I say we start a skate night here. We aren't prolly gonna go pro, but let's get out there and skate till we hurt! So, I hereby proclaim Monday, the 19th of July, Grrrrrrl's Skate!

Leave th kids and the hubby at home. Put on your short shorts or some crazy shit, and let's take over the Skate City!

Trance parties

Some of you may know there's a small local trance community. They're having a partyy nearby this weekend. Any of you like them or not? I've been to some decent and some slower parties of theirs, but they usually have a chill zone or 2nd set or turntables for the non hard-cores at least.

Subject: A Phoenix Family 420 Experience- w/ the RASTALIENS and ARTIFAKT
> >sat april 24
> >Date: Sun, 04 Apr 2004 00:28:57 +0000
> >
> > …And as the time grows closer to the cosmic experience we celebrate
> >as 420,
> >we (the Phoenix Family) are preparing to give you a close encounter you are
> >never going to forget. If you have not heard the RASTALIENS before, strap
> >on your brain bucket, cause we're going on a musical journey through -
> >" SUPER PSYCHEDELIC ACIDIC RIPPING SPACE"
> >-where we will be "BLAST BACK ROCKET FACED" by the power of this alien duo.
> >
> > Our next guest, who hails in from S. Africa, will be tearing apart
> >whatever is left of us with his mind warping barrage of personally
> >collected unreleased super psychedelia from the darkside. His
> >name.....ARTIFAKT.... his mission.... "BLOW YOUR MIND".
> >
> > And for this night of festivities, we will have a finely tuned 15000
> >watt CERWIN VEGA SOUND SYSTEM w/ 9000 watts of BASS to blast the ear candy
> >we love soooo much. We will have an active Mackie Sound System in the chill
> >room to guide you through your evening healing of SACRED SMOKING.
> >
> > In the MAIN CHAMBER, the healing will begin at 9pm with a 2 hour tag
> >team set between our own GODDESSES of the PSY, DJKT and PSYCHIC. Then
> >WATERJUICE featuring a special guest performance by IRINA MIKHAILOVA will
> >take over to emerge us into the sanctity of this SPIRITUAL EVENING and up
> >to and through our MIDNITE RITUAL. We will be having the BOM TRIBE help us
> >with this task to ensure the rite flow of mind.
> >Guiding us into our unified state of mind will be our one and only 420 man
> >himself ...STONY, who will start the countdown to blast off time.
> >Next we have the visual guru and Phoenix Family Swami...
> >DR. SPOOK to pilot us into orbit where we will be abducted by the 420
> >Extraterrestrials.
> >
> >Then,
> >
> >!!! FLASH...BOM.....OHM.....ROCKET BACK, YOU HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED !!!
> >
> > The RASTALIENS have teleported us to there Mothership of
> >psychedelic sight and sound. We will travel to unknown origins of time and
> >space where all becomes one and one becomes all. This 2 HR. trip will bring
> >us right to the heart of CHAKRADELIC COMMUNION and to a place we all know
> >as ...THE WICHDOKTA ZONE.
> >As our shaman of the tribe mixes up his native concoction of healing sound,
> >the SOCIETY of SACRED SMOKE will be in full puff. Out of the smoke will
> >rise a new sound, one from a far, one that will feast on your every brain
> >cell, yes, ARTIFAKT has arrived. Like a sacred relic, comes this ancient
> >tribalistik dance sound that will catapult us into the history and future
> >of our new alien universe.
> > Being infected by the new alien technology and way of
> >communicating,ROSS, prevolves,devolves, revolves,and evolves into the
> >lifeforce known as RANDOM. With his newly found knowledge he prepares us
> >for the journey home with the NAGUAL. With our expanded minds and
> >consciuosness,
> >NAGUAL will bring us to the 2nd level of enlightenment and to a place where
> >magic things roam free and sacred things held dear, LEPRACONNOR's
> >PSYCHEDELIC PLAYHOUSE.
> >
> > In the CHILL CHAMBER, we welcome back our brothers of old and Phoenix
> >Family Legends, ST. CARL and STEVE. A 2hr. set to sooth your soul. At
> >midnite we will shut down the chillroom for the Ritual. We will begin again
> >with KEPI and KAT bringing us some original music from the Bay Area. LIN-Z
> >will take over to rock our worlds with soul and groove. SATURNIA will take
> >us from funk'dom to the Goddess temple love to ease your every smoke sesh.
> >SONJAH will dub us to the next millinium
> >with her smoked out style. Manx will be there to hold us on our wave of
> >transformation into a long awaited set by our own pizza guy, SINA.
> >HEARTLOVE will make sure to take us there, to the LOVE ZONE. Then, when the
> >Main Room has shut down in docking bay, the chillroom will now get a little
> >more psychedelic with more BPM. Our navigators will be NIKON vs. RAW-QUA.
